4 PROOF FILM is a production company bbased in Bucharest, founded in 2007 by filmaker Adrian Sitaru, cinematographer Adrian Silișteanu and actor Adrian Titieni. Characterized by a truly independent spirit, 4 PROOF FILM aims to devellop and produce author driven films and documentaries that are story-led, boldly told and globally relevant.

Alex Sîrbu graduated in 2023 from the Film Directing department of the Theatre and Film Faculty at Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. During his studies, he directed four short films and worked on twelve other student short films in various roles across production, directing, and camera departments. Additionally, he collaborated with the theater department on numerous video and photo projects. In 2025 he received a scholarship from the Erich Pommer Institute, which enabled him to pursue an MBA in Film Business and Law at the Konrad Wolf Film University Babelsberg.
While in film school, he also contributed to the feature projects of his professors, Radu Jude and Adrian Sitaru. One of the films he directed, Circus, was selected for the Early Bird Student Film Festival in Bulgaria, TIFF, Cluj-Napoca, TNT Craiova, Goa Short Film Festival and International Short Film Festival “Cinema Paradiso” Cluj-Napoca, in which he won Jury’s Special Prize . Another short film he worked on as director of photography, The Antechamber, was selected for TIFF, Cluj-Napoca, Cinemaiubit Bucharest and Balkans Beyond Borders Film Festival.
In 2023, he joined 4 Proof Film and Domestic Film, becoming part of their production and distribution teams. Currently, he is working on his next two short films, Rattus Norvegicus, Târâș-Grăpiș/Where’s Alex? and developing his debut feature film, Degree in Unemployment.
He was recently selected for the Director’s Summit as part of Sarajevo Talents 2025.

Iriana Adnana graduated from the Faculty of Theatre and Film at Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, specialising in Film Direction. During her time at the university, she directed 5 short films, produced 7 student films. In 2023, she joined the film production company 4 PROOF FILM, where she works on film projects at various stages of development, as, for example, on the distribution campaign of the feature film Don Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World, directed by Radu Jude. Iriana had her own short film We’ll Light a Candle When the Lights Go Out screened at 61 Festival Internacional de Cine de Gijón/Xixón, in Esbilla Section.
Now, as a producer, she works on the next feature film of Adrian Sitaru – Virgin Mary (financing stage), alongside other three features in development, one short film in development and two in postproduction.
The feature she produced, Harakiri (co-directed by Adrian Sitaru and Vlad Popa), participated in CineLink Work-in-Progress in Sarajevo IFF in 2024.

Adrian Sitaru was born on November 4th, 1971 in Deva, Romania. He is a director and writer best known for „Hooked” (2008), „Best Intentions” (2011) and „Illegitimate” (2016).
For me cinema is like a drug. But I'm not addicted to watching films, I'm addicted to seeing the world, everything that's happening around me, just like in a film. That's why I love shooting them, recreating parts of the world I live in.

Adrian Silisteanu graduated Cinematography in Bucharest, while also studying Digital Cinematography at The National Audiovisual Institute in Paris. Over the last decade, he worked as cinematographer for many movies, TV series and commercials. In 2012, Adrian Silisteanu directs his first short film, “The Ditch” and 4 years later, in 2016, makes “Written/Unwritten”.
I consider that it is a great privilege to practice a profession in which the main focus is on deciphering the meaning of things that surround us. Cinematography offers us with every project, the opportunity to understand more of the complexity of the human being and of the world we live in.

Actor
Adrian Titieni is a well-known Romanian theatre and film actor who has starred in over 60 short and feature films and over 40 theatre plays. He has worked with many Romanian award-winning directors, such as Lucian Pintilie for Balanța (The Oak, 1992), which premiered at Cannes in 1992, Cristi Puiu for Moartea domnului Lăzărescu (The Death of Mr. Lazarescu, 2005), Cannes 2005, Călin Peter Netzer for Poziția copilului (Child’s Pose, 2013), which won the Golden Bear in Berlin 2013, and Cristian Mungiu for Bacalaureat (Graduation, 2016).
