Synopsis

Neli goes to Bucharest for a few days, while Dan, her 17 year old son is left home alone. On her return, her neighbor friends rush into welcoming her and delurking into the smallest detail, spicy aspects of the party that Dan organized in her absence. Soon after, Neli ‘s meeting with her son creates a different perspective on what she
thinks she knows about her friends from the block.

After finishing film directing in Bucharest, Adrian Sitaru made the short film “Waves” which brought him in 2007 the Golden Leopard of Tomorrow in Locarno Film Festival. His debut feature film, “Hooked”, premiered at Venice Days in 2008 and established Sitaru as a new voice in Romanian post-communist cinema. Since then, his films gathered recognition from festivals such as Berlinale, Sundance, Palm Springs, Chicago, Thessaloniki, Warsaw and Sarajevo.
